The St. Francis Inn is a Franciscan community located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. The community is composed of religious and lay people called to live and minister among the poor and homeless. The poor and homeless are served by means of a soup kitchen, a thrift shop and a women’s day center. St. Robert Bellarmine Parish holds a collection once a month for the following items needed at the Inn: plastic bags (from the supermarket) and toiletry items (shampoo, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc, especially hotel size). Volunteers are need to assist in gathering and delivering this collection. For more information, please contact Candy Bakasy at 215.343.1002.
