Helping Hands Ministry
The Help Your Neighbor Program has a few dedicated volunteers who assist in coordinating such parish activities as the annual Christmas Giving Tree, the annual Good Friday Poor Man’s Supper and general assistance to our sister parish, St. Cyprian, Philadelphia, Pa. upon request. Gifts donated at Christmas are distributed confidentially to local parish families, to Neshaminy Manor Nursing home residents, our sister parish, St. Cyprian’s, located in Philadelphia, Pa. and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The Poor Man’s Supper consists of a simple meal shared in the church hall immediately following the Passion of Our Lord on Good Friday. St. Robert’s has very generously donated school supplies to the children of St. Cyprian’s parish school. In an ongoing effort to support their community outreach program, non-perishable food items are collected on a monthly basis and delivered to St. Cyprian’s food pantry. All these things are made possible through the continued generosity of the parishioners of St. Robert’s. Contact: Rosemary Abecasis, 215.343.8113 or Sallie Theis 215.343.4067

Bereavement and Healing Ministry
The goal of this ministry is to comfort the newly bereaved in our parish family by letting them know that that the parish priests and parishioners are available to the family not only at the time of death but for as long as needed. Members of this ministry are adult volunteers with good listening skills and a genuine desire to assist those who have lost a loved one. The group also assists with the annual Memorial Mass (for all those parishioners who have died in the last year) and also with the annual Healing Mass in April (for those parishioners who wish to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick). St. John’s Hospice Trays
Each month members of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish provide food for St. John’s Hospice for Men in Center City, Philadelphia. The Hospice provides meals and other services to the poor of the city. Between 45-55 trays of food are donated monthly. Frozen trays are brought to the kitchen freezer in our Church Hall. This program gives parishioners the opportunity to perform one of the Corporal Works of Mercy—to feed the hungry. Parishioners interested in this program can pick up trays in the Narthex. The Hospice picks up the trays on the third Tuesday of each month. Please watch the bulletin for dates and information.  Saint John’s Hospice

Parish volunteers help in coordinating the program by calling past donors and arranging appointments and schedules. Parishioners can assist with the Bloodmobile Drive both as phone volunteers and donors. The times and dates are announced in advance in the parish bulletin.
