By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ.
The Sacrament of the Sick may be administered to any parishioner seeking healing of mind, body, or spirit. Anyone in the parish who is advanced in age, chronically ill, or preparing for any type of medical procedure is encouraged to contact the Parish Office at 215.343.0315 or firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment with a priest.
When death is immanent and the person is within the parish boundaries, families are encouraged to call the parish so that a priest may come for a final anointing. If it is after office hours, the emergency line may be used.
Within our parish boundaries, we have three nursing care facilities: Neshaminy Manor, Fox Subacute, and The Solana Doylestown. Residents of these three care facilities are under the pastor care of our parish.
If a parishioner is in any other hospital or nursing care facility, they are encouraged to contact the parish so that we may pray for them, however, these facilities are staffed by their own respective chaplains and must receive the Sacraments from them. Contact the Nurses’ Station to inquire about the chaplain for the facility.
