Advent Evening of Reflection for Women

2019 Advent Evening of Reflection for Women
ADVENT EVENING OF REFLECTION FOR WOMEN. The Season of Advent invites us to prepare a space for God in our hearts and in our homes. But how can we do this well, when the looming holiday season demands that we prepare a space in our house for guests, gifts, and gourmet meals? On Tuesday, December 10, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., we invite all women of the parish to an Advent Evening of reflection, sharing food and faith with one another as we listen to the wisdom of one of the Bible's most overworked, underappreciated ladies: St. Martha. Our guest speaker will be will Christine Eberle, author of Finding God in Ordinary Time. Christine's inspirational address will include a dramatic monologue of the "Martha/Mary incident" from Luke 10:38-42 as well as passages from her recently released book. (She will also be available to sell and sign copies afterwards; they make great Christmas gifts!) You can learn more about Christine and follow her blog at www.christine-marie-eberle.com. Join us Tuesday, December 10th, 2019 from 6:30 - 8:30pm in Msgr. Marley Hall. The cost is $20. Appetizers, desserts and beverages will be provided. Please RSVP by Tuesday, December 3rd.
